My work ‘A Warm Shower’ is inspired by ‘The Wren from Carolina’ by Mary Oliver. When I first read this poem, it immediately warmed my heart and gave me an incredibly kind perspective on life. I made this piece to express that warmth and reverence towards all lives, small or large. Oliver writes: “All things are inventions of holiness / Some more rascally than others. / I’m on that list too.”
