Mary Ann Torri

I am a contemporary abstract expressionist artist working in acrylic and mixed media. Multiple layers of texture and color washes that evolve with each painting reveal impressionistic places where the sky mingles with the land and water. Changing light in a blink of the eye and that energy that pulls me in is my fascination and muse. Creating art is an evolution for me as an artist and as a human. I earned my degree from Illinois State University in Art with concentrations in Painting and Graphic Design. I have been doing art and chasing the sun my entire life. I have been professionally sharing it for 35 years. My paintings and commissioned work are in private and public collections throughout the United States.
