Artist Statement
Throughout my life, I have always enjoyed a variety of arts & crafts – ceramics, photography, creating Christmas cards and gifts for family and friends, etc. At 50, while experiencing a very difficult time in my life, I discovered Zentangle, a meditative drawing practice. It had such a positive impact, that I felt motivated to go to the training to become a Certified Zentangle Teacher.
Bio/Description
Leslie Barr graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Art. She is a Certified Zentangle Teacher, teaching classes of various sized groups for over 10 years. She has participated in the Boneyard Arts Festival since 2018.
