Kamila Glowacki

Kamila Glowacki is a musician, artist, and museum educator based in Champaign, IL. She holds a Master of Arts in Art Education from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and is the Education Coordinator at Krannert Art Museum (KAM). In 2023, she received the ‘Chancellor’s Staff Excellence Award’ from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and was named the Illinois Art Education Association‘s ‘Illinois Museum Educator of the Year.’ She was named the ‘Best Music Scene Ambassador of the Decade’ by Smile Politely in 2019 and awarded 40 North’s ‘Student Arts, Culture, and Education Award’ in 2017.

Kamila’s indie punk band, Nectar, exists as her main songwriting outlet. Nectar’s sophomore album, ‘No Shadow’ was released in 2022 via Lauren Records and captures a “wonderfully infectious sense of breezy, distorted joy…where blissful harmonies meet pealing riffs and major-chord sweetness” (The AV Club).

Kamila’s drawings, paintings, prints, and sculptures has been featured in the Polish Museum of America and NPR Illinois. She is an experienced illustrator and designer of album artwork, T-shirts, posters, and various other merchandise for clients including Polyvinyl Records and Girls Rock! Champaign-Urbana.
