Gina Burri

Gina’s artistic journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU). During her studies, she developed a strong interest in contemporary design, which led her to further her education with a CAS in Coding for the Arts at ZHdK in Zurich. Over the past years, she has gained valuable experience in renowned design studios, including Anna Haas, Marie Cuennet, and Studio Dumbar in Rotterdam. Through residencies in Poland and Switzerland, she has explored various printmaking techniques in depth. Currently, she is participating in a city-funded residency in Chicago, where she is investigating the nuances of the color gray through monotype printing. As part of the Boneyard Arts Festival, she will be present at Fresh Paper, further expanding her artistic practice in papermaking. Her multidisciplinary focus lies in graphic design, printmaking, and creative coding—bridging the gap between analog and digital mediums.
