Emily Beanblossom

Emily Beanblossom is a soap maker, musician, and artist in Champaign, Illinois.  She holds an MFA in Studio Art from The School of the Art Institute in Chicago, Illinois.  She has been making soap as a hobby for 12 years prior to her studies, but turned her interest into a business during the pandemic.  Outside of the business, she works with soap as an artistic medium by experimenting with natural color infusions, pouring techniques, pattern-making, and embedding to create original designs.  She also looks for opportunities to collaborate with local makers and growers on small batches.

At Beanblossom Soaps, we create an eclectic variety of natural bar soaps designed for different skin types, crafted with natural clays, botanicals, and plant-based oils and waxes. For Boneyard Arts Market, we’ll be bringing soap celebrating design and color! We prioritize eco-friendly practices by using plastic-free packaging, sourcing ingredients responsibly, and avoiding harsh chemicals. Committed to ingredient transparency, we ensure our products are made with care for both people and planet, all while supporting local artists and investing in the community. Our mission is to make high-quality, eco-conscious soap that nurtures the skin and respects the Earth.
