I go back and forth from needing to make work where the visual is a felt kind of knowledge (as opposed
to a visual then translated into description

OF feeling OR thought),

and clinging to specific words or phrases that I just can’t seem to get rid of.

Back and forth from                               no language, to language.

I’m also interested in spatial relationships, everything as islands floating in space, connected by water.

the ocean, my people, a sense of belonging (or not), and love.

Some things s I do daily are: pick out a couple of rocks to put in my pocket, write something I know about myself on a post-it note, pull out a word from a pouch full of words that my mom gave me (example: breathe), drink one cup of coffee, check the temperature of the air outside, worry about something, make a list.
