Gallery Art Bar is excited to feature The Interstates Project!

The Interstates Project is a multimedia exploration by artists William Hohe (BFA in Photography and BS in Advertising) and Charlotte Watson (BFA in Graphic Design and BS in Advertising), inspired by a 14-state road trip along Historic Route 66. Through photography and performance, the project examines the fading American road trip, national identity, and the evolution of femininity across regions. The exhibition features 14 personas developed from over 50 photoshoots, offering a glimpse into the larger project. A limited-edition book will be released in April, capturing the journey’s themes and narratives. The hub of the multi-location exhibition will be at Gallery Art Bar during the Boneyard Arts Festival, running from April 2nd through June 2nd. Alongside this main installation, the artists are featured in additional gallery, shop, and university partners in Champaign-Urbana to create an interactive, community-centered experience. This citywide showcase will reflect the 14 states traveled, inviting audiences to engage with the work beyond a single gallery space.
