As a part of this year’s Boneyard Arts Festival, we hope you will join Cunningham Children’s Home for the 21st Annual Festival of Quilts, on Friday, April 4th from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturday, April 5th from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. in Urbana.
Enjoy the more than 250 beautiful quilts from hundreds of quilt artists throughout Illinois, on display and for purchase. Each quilt has its own story and creatively blurs the lines between conventional quilt making and fine art. Which one will resonate with you?
The Festival attracts hundreds of visitors and raises thousands of dollars to help bring hope to the youth and families Cunningham serves. For a suggested donation of $10 for admission, the Festival features something for everyone:
• ASSORTMENT OF QUILTS featuring beautiful traditional and contemporary quilts and wall hangings for sale and quilts on loan for show
• CENTERPIECES AND SUCH purchase centerpieces, mantle pieces, wreaths, door décor, planters and much more
• GIFT SHOP packed with generously donated handcrafted items
• BAKE SALE with delicious homemade goodies and treats
• TOURS of our campus where you will learn more about Cunningham’s mission and ministry
Since 1895, Quilters from across Illinois have made quilts for Cunningham youth. While they rarely know who the recipients of their quilts will be, they do know what the quilts represent: the warmth, safety and love youth find at Cunningham. We honor this tradition through the Festival of Quilts, our signature fundraiser, and the proceeds help us meet the critical needs of the 977 youth, adults and families we serve each year through our residential, special education and community-based services.
