Champaign County History Museum

April 4 @ 1:00 pm - April 6 @ 2:00 pm

Harry Breen: Unbound, the Champaign County History Museum’s latest exhibition, tells the story of local artist Harry Breen. At the CCHM at the Historic Cattle Bank, guests will learn about Breen’s upbringing in Chicago, his career at the Uof I, and his extensive career working with clay, watercolors, and oils. Breen was extensively involved with his C-U community, beginning a children’s weekend art program “Saturday’s Children” and working with local churches and hospitals, creating sacred art and iconography. Examples of Breen’s work are on display.

Breen’s works at Meyer Capel law offices in the Burnham Athenaeum and at Holy Cross Church will also be available for viewing on April 5th.

The Museum is grateful for the generous support of Paul and Melissa Breen to make this exhibit possible.

Free, but the Museum appreciates a $3 suggested donation.
The exhibit is upstairs. There is no elevator but a stair glide is available. The entrance from the parking lot leads directly to the stairs with the chair glide.
