Featuring Samuel Herndon! (20) 8×10 Silver Gelatin Prints All editions 1/1 One year capturing photographs on 35mm black-and-white film, each image inspired by a one-word AI prompt.
This series investigates the intersection of generative artificial intelligence and traditional photographic practice. Over the span of a year, the artist produced 35mm black-and-white photographs in response to single-word AI prompts.
The project positions analog photography within the context of an expanding digital image ecosystem. At a moment when text-to-image systems can generate limitless visual output in seconds, Samuel’s work returns to a slower methodology rooted in exposure, chemical process, and physical permanence.
The series converts minimal digital input into a deliberate physical artifact, highlighting how interpretation intervenes between prompt and print.
