For me, the right light and color can make anything beautiful, and watercolor has a unique way of portraying both. My work strives to capture moments of beauty, though not always in a conventional sense. Nature and the outdoors play a vital role in my art and imagination: both through painting the trees and flowers and skies themselves, but also in painting things being “reclaimed” by nature, like abandoned buildings and vehicles. I’m drawn to scenes that leave you to imagine what’s just out of sight, or what once was – or could be again.
