Page Fredericks
Page Fredericks is primarily an acrylic and chalk pastel painter, as well as an accomplished colored pencil artist, living and working in east central Illinois. Her works primarily depict nature through a combination of realism, abstraction, and surrealism, although some are purely abstract. In addition to being an artist, Page has a Ph.D. in immunology, and while she worked primarily as a molecular biologist, she is a broadly trained biologist. This long immersion in biology has imbued her art in both subtle and overt ways, and she creates images from the sub-cellular to the realm of galaxies. Created in partnership with the Holy Spirit, much of her art is in the poetic story-telling style of parables. They are unique, beautiful and interesting, but also have a deeper, hidden meaning waiting for you to discover. Her hope is that God’s Spirit will flow through her art and interact with those who view it.
