Barbara Benas

Barbara Benas is an Emmy award-winning animator and comics artist that lives in Champaign.

Their food horror comic Bottom’s Up! was originally made for the 2023 Shortbox Comics Fair, and later published in 2024 with Silver Sprocket. Winner of the 2024 Cartoonist Co-op Minicomics Awards in the Horror category, and nominated for Best Short Comic for the 2024 Cartoonist Studio Prize.
