Melissa Mitchell

Melissa Mitchell is a Champaign-based assemblage/creative-reuse artist, photographer, writer and collector of vintage and other unusual objects. The lines dividing her multiple identities tend to blur and shift — often without warning. Collectibles from home and garden décor are sometimes co-opted for use in assemblage sculptures or become photographic subjects. She has exhibited and sold her work in juried exhibitions and galleries locally and throughout the United States.

Mitchell’s work may be viewed at her ACME Elfworks studio in downtown Champaign by appointment.
