While on my walks this Fall I picked up favorite leaf shapes to use them in my watercolor resist paintings. First I’d use crayons to make rubbings from the leaf texture. Then I’d paint with watercolors that naturally resist the waxiness of the crayon. I never tired of thinking of the colors, shapes wind and sunshine of my walks while creating my paintings.
