Syd Ray-Lee Ritsema
Syd Ray-Lee Ritsema is a non-binary artist whose portraiture focuses on the essence of a person, and who they are shines through that portrait. Through color, line, and bold brushstrokes – they capture not only the subjects likeness but who the subjects are as well. Having gone to Ringling College of Art and Design, they are passionate about art history and most importantly the discussions had about art and the time/place/culture in which it was born. These backgrounds shine through in their work, allowing the viewer to experience a different perspective and lenses to look through.
Syd Ray-Lee Ritsema will be selling prints of their artwork as well as doing live traditional 20-minute portraits for $25 between the times 10-12 and 1-4 on Saturday April 5th.
